Biketoberfest 2015 - Honda Scooters Cebu Rides Again

Biketoberfest is Cebu's biggest motorcycle event. It is an annual event that promotes what genuine and passionate motorcycling is to the public. It is a three-day event and now on it's 7th year. This was held at the same venue as the previous years at the Cebu IT Park grounds. I heard that this will be the last year that it would be held there because Ayala (the owner of IT Park) has other plans for the ground.

Biketoberfest is organized by Star Touring and Riding Association - Chapter 2301 and their partner for this year is again the Feed the Children Program, serving free meals and giving school supplies to underprivileged children from different barangays. The event featured talks, fun competitions, raffle of prizes, product presentations, live bands, Biker Babe Pageant and many more. Speaking of raffle, they gave away 4 motorcycles this year unlike in the previous years where 3 motorcycles were given. One of the raffle prizes was a brand new Gen-S Honda Beat FI from Vismotor Corporation.

Just like last year, Honda Scooters Cebu had a Biketoberfest Unity Ride using the same route that we travelled last year, from Cebu City to Balamban and Toledo, then rode to Naga City and back to Cebu City.

Honda Scooters Cebu was originally composed of 3 clubs composed of the 3 different scooters of Honda, Cebu Beat Riders (Honda Beat), Zoomer X Club Cebu (Zoomer X) and the Cebu Scoopy Club (Scoopy) but this year, Honda released it's latest and most advanced scooter in its line-up, the Honda Click-i and a new club was born, Cebu Click-i Club. Now, Honda Scooters Cebu is composed of the 4 different scooter line-ups of Honda.

As always, we started the to meet at our infamous meetup location in Lahug, Cebu City, Honda Philippines, Inc. (HPI) Office. We gathered from 6AM to 8AM. Our ride off was 8AM.

We rode from HPI's office to Felixberto's Burgers and Hotdogs, a popular riders den in Balamban. It is popular because it is only 30 kilometers away from the city yet you will be riding through wonderful vistas along the way. Just short trip to de-stress with a bike.

At Felixberto, we had our breakfast. Unfortunately, some of us were not able to have one because they ran out of buns. Incidentally, their delivery didn't arrive for that day so it was unfortunate for some of us.

Scooperos in the house!
After breakfast, we had our customary group shot.

And because I was not on the above photo, Micmic (Cebu Scoopy Club President) offered to take another shot with me. Can you spot yours truly?

After our breakfast, we made our way to Toledo City, formerly known as "Pueblo Hinulawan", the copper city with a heart of gold. We planned to have a few minutes rest at their port area and of course, another set of group shots.

The Zoomer X riders immediately posed while everyone were still coming together.

The Honda Scooters Cebu at Toledo.

Toledo has one of the nicest port in Cebu.
After a few minutes we headed our way to Naga City to have our lunch. The road from Toledo City to Naga City has to be one of the nicest roads in Cebu at this point. Tarmac with a lot of good twisties to enjoy for motorcycle riders. We made a few stops along the way for a few-minute breaks.

We reached Naga just a few minutes passed 12NN. Exactly the time we needed to have our lunch at Carbill. Carbill offers a lot of sea foods to choose from and the best part is that, it is a Carenderia by the bay (or sea). Their parking area was also well-shaded so our scooters weren't feeling the heat of the noon sun.

We ordered shrimps, kinilaw, pusit, tinola and so much more. It was a seafood festival. Admittedly, the foods were a bit pricey but hey, you pay good for good food, right?

After eating, we had a good chat with our fellow riders. We talked about just anything under the sun (no pun intended) :). We planned to ride off at exactly 2PM. We targeted to arrive at Cebu IT Park at 4PM. We rode via the roads of SRP.
