Cebu Scoopy Club Joins Honda XRM Carafun 2014 - Visayas Leg

Honda riders who were from Negros and Cebu joined the much awaited Honda XRM Carafun 2014 Visayas Leg on June 21-22, 2014. Cebu Scoopy Club has been privileged to be invited to the said event. The event was held at Aroma Beach Resort in Manjuyod, Negros Oriental. Cebu Honda riders met at Honda Philippines, Inc. (HPI) office in Lahug, Cebu City at around 5:00 AM. Other clubs were also invited especially 2 groups for the XRM club, this was their event but all types of Honda motorcycle riders were invited. There was the Honda CB110 Club, Honda Wave Club, Honda XRM Club and of course, Cebu Scoopy Club. We started the ride to Manjuyod, Negros at around 7:00 AM but before that, we were given free jerseys. The ride was around 200 kilometers which included the ferry ride from Lilo-an Santander to Tampi. It was definitely a long ride but it was enjoyable since there was less traffic and the country side roads were always a pleasure to ride with.

Meet up at HPI Lahug.

When we reached somewhere in Amlan, Negros Oriental, it rained relatively hard so we were stuck for a couple of minutes in a small gas station. We reached Aroma Beach Resort at around 11:00AM. When we arrived, we were asked to sign up for the registration and we were given another set of freebies, a t-shirt and a cap.

We arrived at Aroma Beach Resort and proceeded to registration.

Then, we proceeded to the cottage area where we took some light snacks. After eating, we were advised to proceed to our rooms and/or tents so that we can leave our things there and we get ready for the games prepared. Since we were the first to arrive from Cebu, the Honda XRM, Wave and CB110 clubs haven't arrived yet, we luckily took the room. We were all under the BLUE team. The room has an aircon, a cable TV and bathroom with shower. There were 2 beds and there were 7 of us so 5 of us have to sleep on the floor. It was fine and fun, it was like a cowboy experience.

The rooms and tents were all free to occupy, first-come-first-serve.

After that, since it was already 12:00 NN by then, we went back again to the cottage area where lunch was served. The food was good. We definitely had a really nice lunch after a long ride.

Good food, lunch by the seashore.

Then came the games. There were a total of 8 games for the whole afternoon. The games were purported to build team work, camaraderie, team collaboration and communication. These were fun-filled team building activities that consist of variety of games. Honda's generosity for hosting this type of event was pretty clear to us.

Dinner and party came next. Honda treated us with raffle items, 2 stand-up comedians from Bohol who brought a lot of laughter to the riders and the live band was especially a very nice treat. The band came from Dumaguete City. Coolplay was the name of the band and they brought the audience to life! We also had some drinks that night with matching pulutan. We slept at around 3:00AM because the evening (early morn) was that enjoyable.

The next morning, it was time to adjourn but we were treated with some nice breakfast and of course, free gas. Before we went back to Cebu, we headed to Dumaguete City for a little side trip and bought the infamous Silvanas. We took some photos along the way as well, then we headed back to the port for Santander. We had our lunch at Carmen's Carenderia in Argao, where we also bought Argao's best Torta.

Breakfast was corned beef and garlic rice with a green banana.

Free gas at Caltex in Bais City.
