Cebu to Boracay on a Motorcycle

We have been riding as a family for almost 3 years now. We have been to the different islands of Visayas which includes our home province Cebu (obviously) to Camotes Islands and the Bantayan Islands, to Bohol, Leyte, even Samar and of course, the island of Negros. The one big island in Visayas that we haven't visited yet is the island of Panay located on the western part of Visayas. Panay has the famous Iloilo City that attracts you to visit however, 2 kilometers away from the west tip of Panay Island is 2014 the world's most beautiful island, Boracay, according to CN Traveler.

Wait! Cebu to Boracay on a Honda Scoopy? Yup, you read that right. So how did we get there? Was it expensive? Was it cheaper than plane? You can watch the video below for a brief summary on how we did it or continue reading and check out our itinerary and expenses.

Off-Road Riding with Philippine MOTO Adventure Touring and Trails

Trail riding on a motorbike is not my thing and probably beyond my skill level at this point. I have never tried trail riding before although I have experienced riding off-roads every now and then but on my scooter where I am well familiar with its handling, control and limits.
The unknown lake in Toledo. Can you spot the carabaos (water buffalo)?

One of the guys at Philippine MOTO Adventure Touring and Trails is a friend and a clubmate at Cebu Scoopy Club, Carlos "Kano" Russell. Since its inception, I have been following its Facebook posts about the places they have been and the obstacles they have to overcome while riding and I was intrigued by the routes they take and the scenery of the mountains of Cebu, Talisay and Toledo. I am less intrigued by trail riding because for one, I am not familiar with riding an underbone motorcycle (Honda XRM 125) and I am not that interested in trail riding, either. Basically, I am just after the view and vistas one would encounter in their trail and touring adventure ride.

Cebu Scoopy Club Balik Eskwela 3

"I have no special talents, I am only passionately curious." (Albert Einstein)
Albert Eisntein wasn't special according to him. He was just passionately curious. Each child is naturally curious to learn and to give more motivation to a child to learn more, the child should be supported and equipped with things needed for him/her to learn.

Cebu Scoopy Club Balik Eskwela 2

"Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all." - Aristotle

Not too long ago, Cebu Scoopy Club held its first ever Balik Eskwela Outreach Program. It was their 3rd outreach event since its nascency 3 years ago. The club wanted to be more active in its outreach program so they held another outreach program before the year ended. The program still aimed to help grade one pupils a good head start at school by providing them school supplies.
